i have combination skin and my face gets oily with makeup throughout the day. would you recommend this for my skin type? I'm a little skeptical because it's cream. ^^
I have worked in many many different cosmetic lines and by far shu uemura has the best quality, best finish. You pay for the quality, so come with the knowledge that you'll pay a higher price point but remembering that you're paying for top of the line make-up. The brushes, although at a high price point, should and with proper care will last you a life time so the investment is great. hand made, 8HR is my favorite blending brush at $60, it's hairs remain uncut for the finest tips.
agree! this thing is amazing..i mean everything from shu uemura is just amazing!
but they recently released a new packaged nobara foundation in a STICK form, which is even better, much more convenient
anwyayz, thx for the great review!
Hakuhodo brushes are made in a similar way, they are fantastic brushes and I think they are less expensive that Shu Uemura brushes which as far as I can see cost a ridiculous amount of money
Really nice review. I use Shu Uemura's Face Architect foundation and I love it (the Space NK make-up artist said it was the best choice for my skin), so I bought that one. But I love more full coverage foundations, like MAC FC, but I always like to try new things and may buy this when my current foundation runs out. Lovely review!
I have the Nobara Cream Cover Stick and it's pretty good! I think I'll try buffing with a foundation brush like how you showed for a more natural finish
Try a drugstore brand. 9 out of 10 times, high end foundation will make acne prone skin break out. Revlon Colourstay has great coverage and a beautiful formula.
Since it's made with 3 different types of oils, is it going to make me break out??
I have problems with acne already and nobody, even from makeup counters, has given me a straight answer on why certain kinds of foundation make me break out :\
My friend came back from a Shu Uemura makeover and she recommended the Nobara. I checked it out yesterday and ended up buying it, the foundation brush and a lipstick. The foundation in stick form will come in handy for taking on my vacation. I've always liked Shu Uemura products.
The latest Nobura foundation comes in a stick form...
I bought the pan form, after your review, and I really like it, and like you said, it photographs very well.
I also like the smooth finish of the product without making my skin looks too heavy.
I apply this foundation with a MAC190 brush. I had been wanting to that that Shu brush you featured here.. but it is abit pricey.. and a bit too small as a face brush. In general, Shu products are really of great quality, and worth their prices.
Okay NARS Sheer Matte Foundation is Fabulous...I am combo/oily T Zone. This foundation actually has really good coverage (I have discoloration) and you still see skin looks natural. I wore it today with no powder and 10 hours in ....still natural looking with minimal shine. This is just day one so we shall see.
just use a buffer brush a foundation brush might make it cakey or streaky since its a cream a sponge just helps emulsify it and go on ur skin smoothly a buffer brush wud be the best kind of brush try jemma kid pro (its a cheap dupe of macs 109) or just use ur hands if your lazy like me :)
