Question
My car is misfiring but I really can't tell but it's throwing the codes saying it is. What could it be? Throw me some ideas so I can check. I have new; plugs, cam, and crank sensor. The motor in this car is the 2.7l it's got the coil over plug set up.
Answer
the first thing you do anytime you get a miss for code on any engine is replace the plugs in it, then clear the computer and see if the code comes back if it does then replace the wires on it and cap,if it still appears you may have a bad coil pack causing this to happen, but always start with the cheapest thing possible and the easiest thing to do and that's the cheapest and easiest on that car to do,people always make the mistake of buying sensors and expensive parts when sometimes all they need a new set of plugs,i see this happen every day over and over and it winds up costing you a lot of money in the long run,try the simple things first on it good luck with it.
